Morning folks,
I'm currently with EKM and our last site expansion has crippled the load times on the site, I really should have seen it coming but I didn't and now I'm suffering the consequences.
So now I'm planning to move to OpenCart and am just starting out with some basic research, the...
Took us 3 months on a pure SEO & Email (started with 0 contacts).
Our products are high value and the clients are young males so we tend to get a glut of orders around pay day's (month ends) but average a few a week now and it seems to be growing with our product database.
I wish I had the margins to do trade supply :p
EKM's good for what I need, I just need to get this issue sorted and I'll be happy again, I've spent all day looking into it and it seems that its an issue PayPal has with some servers.
I've even managed to replicate it now so hopefully EKM...
Presently no, I'm with EKM and it has just about everything I could need, other than one issue I'm having I actually can't fault it.
The friend I have who uses Magento, his site looks scruffier after he's edited his template (could be a personal thing) and from an SEO perspective I can't see...
Cheers, at present (strangely) I don't feel limited by EKM and at present I can't see that changing, there's not much it doesn't allow me to do that's not better than my competitors (obviously that could change). I do have a niggling problem with EKM though.
I've been at it a year and am...
So what exactly (forgive my ignorance) is the benefit of say Magento or OpenCart?
What's different to say EKM that is critical to large product databases? What do they have that EKM don't?
When you say freedom do you mean design? Product specifics?
Well compared to what I'm currently paying (£25+ / month) that would be a massive increase over EKM's cost.
From what you've said I'm not sure I would get a better ROI by switching to Magento.
Hi Mark, I think the general consensus is its an EKM issue. I've raised it with EKM as have many other users.
Next port of call is PayPal.
Thanks for your advice.
I'm with EKM and some of the 'bad' news you read is simply unjustified, I've had very few problems that have actually caused me any real pain, the templates are (quite) good, its stable and very easy to use.
As has been mentioned, (external) template mods are quite inexpensive (EKM's are...
That's something I forgot to ask, I've seen some dedicated hosts for Magento, and they quoted a number of 500 MySQL Databases, forgive my ignorance but what does this mean? I can get unlimited for and extra £4 but I'm not sure what it is.
I've a friend who uses it and his site seems tidy and...
So I use EKM and I'm getting a lot of dropped carts, I use paypal currently but other users are reporting this happening with cardsave and other processors.
Basically the customers are filling in details and clicking on the proceed to payment option and then various problems are occurring but...
So I'm with EKM powershop and I'm having a bit of a nightmare, something has happened with the transition from the cart to my payment processor and I'm experiencing a really high number of dropped carts, the EKM team are 'on it' so it will get resolved in 2032....
I've seen the free version...
