Cold calling works, targeted or otherwise, otherwise you wouldn't still be receiving cold calls.
The problem with cold calling is that it has a low bar for entry and very few who are actually any good at it. However, even those that are rubbish at it will still have a high enough hit rate...
There's various polite ways of doing it:
"I appreciate you're not looking for an alternative at the moment but could I possibly send you a quotation by email to go on file?"
"When is your contract up for renewal as I'd be interested in giving you a call back to provide you with a comparison at...
Do you follow up on your estimates? Do you ring up and ask if they have made a decision on that estimate yet and if you lose it do you ask for feedback as to why you were unsuccessful?
I send repeat quotes out often. Generally I find people are just rushed off their feet than intentionally...
I started out as a commission only sales rep' but got tired of companies trying to rip me off and so just set up a company providing the service I was originally selling for other firms. I then subcontracted to a couple of the firms I was originally selling on behalf of, until I started to pick...
Sorry, what I meant was that you are asking advice about getting a commission only sales rep' but you haven't given any specifics. It's difficult for anyone to reply in a concrete way without knowing what you were selling. For example I could be an expert in selling technology for the oil...
Telesales is just a numbers game and you get what you pay for.
It works really well. The proof of that is the fact that people keep getting telesales calls. Do you think companies would continue to throw money away, for year on end, using telesales teams if it didn't work?
Think of all the dodgy telesales calls you get, where the CSA is working from a script, is wooden in their delivery, selling PPE or "I understand you have been in a car accident within the last 3 years". They're absolutely terrible but the reason you keep getting these calls is because a certain...
If you can afford to buy your business's assets for £10,000 why don't you just ring HMRC, explain the situation, tell them you can make a £10,000 down payment on the debt and set up a payment arrangement for the remaining 20k?
HMRC would rather you set up a payment arrangement to clear the debt than burn your company and not pay it at all. Just give them a call and have a conversation.
I just see chat bots as messaging systems that pop up asking questions. Didn't realise there was a difference given that a lot of the chat bots I see are masquerading as person to person help functions.
I don't have a problem with them if they are linked to a person but if it's an actual bot they're of no use because they're not smart enough. Whenever it's an actual computer I rapidly spot that it's only a bot because they give stock answers based on keywords that don't answer the questions...
