Yeh, I was going to use the seperate savings account just for business transactions to keep everything seperate from my current account, this way my book-keeping should hopefully be much easier.

However, can I receive payments for my business into a personal instant access savings account as opposed to just my current account?

Thankyou for clearing that up, I got a bit confused there. So i've got to register for Self-Assesment FIRST, then I should get a UTR and then I can use their online services to register as self-employed...or they will do that for me when I register for the self-assesment. Seems a bit backwards...
