Lindi Mngaza - The Apprentice

Lindi was the one who offered the restaurant manager 'exclusivity' on the ice cream. No laundry pants lines or Kosher chicken involved.

Read an interview with Alex Wetherspoon the other week, who said that Lucina Ledgerwood must be desperate for fame because she was going on Celebrity Scissorhands, a 3 week unpaid show. Err... she's into the health/beauty sector and it's for charity. This was an interview after Alex had appeared on 'Hole in the Wall' - dressing up in a silver wet suit and jumping through shapes.

Half of the Apprentice lineup were there because their face fitted.

How does that work, then? Like a big facial jigsaw puzzle, you mean? :|

She is absolutely insane!!! You can never trust her now!!!

She so F-ing ignorant "Well your experts say its wrong not mine"

I think she's going to lose total credibility after this one now.

Now one will want to work with her - Business Or TV.

I find myself constantly amazed at how easy it is to seperate certain people from their cash with a lot of self confidence and some half assed credentials.

Lindi is a classic example of someone who's self image is far higher arching than any business idea or work ethic, in other words in her own mind people should pay her just for being Lindi.

are you taking the hairy pineapple? haha i knew what a pyramid scheme was at the age of 14. these people are advertised and promoted as the brains of british business and they cannot even organise their way out of a paper bag with a split in it.

what really slaps me round the face is the fact they drive bmw's and mercedes cars and have heated pools yet they don't even know that a pyramid scheme is a scam!

Oh no dont tell me you have fallen for this stuff;)

They are there to make a tv programme to satify the veiwing requirements of the BBC ...Most have had the luxury and the charity of an employed postion ..Few have run or built good businesses ..Im mean come on they even had a young chap that had been bankrupt twice !!!!.They then select an army captain that had no business experience at all.

I like the show but also know enough not to take it serious..I am however very supprised how serious business people veiw it ..

I think people view it seriously because it real and its about something we all do every day. Why not take it seriously. Sis Alan is real, the job is real the £100k pay packet is real. so its all real and its about real business acumen. it aint some stupid tasks the house mates need to do to get some food and fags for the day. its about the thing we all do day in day out and how we conduct our shelves professionally with colleagues and customers.

i agree it is made up for television...the camera angles..the lighting...the editing etc

however, for those that don't run their own business, this is the view they are given! I've often had people say 'wow, buy me a ferrari then' just because i said i did website design and ran my own business. they assume its easy..you buy a shop, sell clothes, get rich and buy an apartment in Los Angeles.

the programme doesn't show REAL business people, the types that are on this forum, the people that have 100 ideas every hour and are trying desperately to pay the mortgage and the car insurance.

I tend to disagree, I don't think people (the majority) are that naive these days.

Oh yes they are .Most of the UK are drowning in a sea of debt .We are living in a land of complete fools ..

Ask a young person what they want out of life these days .They wont say I want to be rich .They will tell you they want to be famous ..

Dont overestimate the British public they are the biggest bunch of mugs in Europe but thats good news for all you retailers on here ;);)

My daughter is nearly 19 and doesn't want to be rich OR famous. She wants to be a bum. She's doing pretty well at it too, fair play. She idles, on average, about 10 hours a day, and hopes to achieve a full 12-hour day of doing sod all in time for her next birthday. Oh what it is to be ambitious, eh? :)

Unfortunately, I'm only half joking...
