Severe rule-breaking, we are watching you!

It is against forum rules to send unsolicited emails and/or private messages to members.

It has come to our attention recently that members have been ignoring this rule and contacting other members, this is tantamount to harassment and we take this very seriously.

Any members who break this rule will receive one strike for every message they send, and as we all know, it only takes three strikes to incur a ban.

If you are a victim of this, please report the message using the red triangle in the top right of the message and clearly label your report as 'unsolicited PM' so that the moderators can deal with it.

A reminder of the relevant rule:

  • never send unsolicited Private Messages (PM) – you must always gain the member's permission before sending a PM, unless you have a specific need to contact a member quickly or discreetly
  • the only exception to this rule is when a member has explicitly requested PM replies to a question or tender on the forum
  • if a member has not explicitly requested PM replies to a forum post, you must post on the forum to ask if a PM would be acceptable
Thanks
