OK- I was the one who used to think BT were at least OK.
Now I am so p***ed of I am going to buy myself out of the contract which will cost me about £800 all for the sake of £5 per month for a mobile.

So anyone recommend a supplier of phone line and broadband which at present are supplied by BT for our business. We have same (line and broadband for our private line too) which I also want to move.
Never had a problem with them but if they treat me like this I'm moving it all!

Not interested in C****Plus in Weston - they're no good either!

How about NTL/Virgin? Most other places you go will use BT for the last mile so in one shape or form you will be stuck with them.
Its the idiots at their end, their failure to set up a one bill account properly and the fact that despite billing me in the incorrect name, me spending hours on the phone to correct their mistakes they jump to debt recovery company.

Interesting side issues is since the debt recovery action is issued in the wrong name I cannot see them getting far with serving papers etc.

BT will send you a bill and within a day or two send a debt recovery letter (This is if you pay quarterly) - its apparently standard practise so they say, although we've never done anything for them to have a problem with us. Big companies throwing their weight.

Here we go ...
Told by Bt as sweetener that mobile phone included in package I would just have to pay for calls.
They Set up one bill account but forget to put any services on it.
Result = 3 bills : one for phone line, one for broadband one for mobile at £5 per month
Action = me on phone and eail total time wasted = 12 hours
Result = broadband and phone line on one bill account, Told to ignore any other bills apart from one bill
2 months later debt recovery company letter threatening action over outstanding mobile phone.
Action = Me on phone further 4 hours plus emails sent
Result = Postpone action for 1 month while they investigate.
1 month later new letter from debt recovery (Always in wrong name)
Result = Me on phone 3 hours. emails sent
Result they also charge £100 termination fee.
Result I will transfer all accounts and used fword to them on phone
Result = they threaten to hang up.
Result = I hang up.

I had an issue with BT and emailed the chairman of said company.

Result = email forwarded to someone from "Senior Escalations" who called me to sort out the problem and also started to put a claim through for compensation.

Just had a nifty cheque for said amount.

Had to google around a bit to get the info I wanted but it was more effective then the 4 hours I initially spent being transferred from a to z in the call centre, re-explaining and yes at one point crying.

PM me if you want the email address I used.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences with BT. Please drop myself a call when you are free. We are a family run business based in Peterborough who deal with all the 5 major networks for business mobiles and also have our own billing infrastructure for business lines and calls which allows us to undercut BT.

We are currently offering Line rental at 9.99 per month and specific packages which include calls to UK landlines from 0.8p per minute.

Any questions please PM me.

Kind Regards

BTW if anyone has any more problems - try this

[email protected]

I emailed this address and got a reply from it signed from him saying it will be forwarded straight away, which then went to Ellen Cameron at Senior Escalations.

I have the email for the lady who helped me but its a bit mean to post it but can say her team/group address is [email protected]

Cracking website for you if you get stuck in the future..all the big email CEO email addresses
