Thanks, I have been contacted by a company charging £99+VAT for the first 20 then £1.20 each appliance there after, but I have no idea if thats good or not, plus 90% of our applicances are under a year old, and all under 3 years.

Gosh that does sound expensive, maybe thats due to a lower volume of appliances

How many items do you have? I know the company that I used to do the sales for, potential customers always commented on how good the price was. They only cover London though. This was for schools and colleges, dont know if this makes a difference because of volume of appliances.

I don't have many, hmm roughly 40.

Although I asked them to email me the information, and when they tried to explain there wasn't alot of information in the email, I said all I want is a bit of information so I can look into it further and find out if they were competative, and she went quiet, although I did get the email.

Im setting up my own PAT Testing business in the next few week, ive done alot of research and found £1.50 an item is average, cheapest ive found is 79p but there from national companies, the more items you have the cheaper it gets per item for alot of companies. im gunna charge around 95p per item to get my name out there. If you want me too do it give me a shout :)
