But in the case of a formal insolvency, the IP would try to collect debts in order to pay creditors... do I not have this duty to creditors? Surely as Director it is one of my only remaining duties?!

We have great success through Twitter, but haven't tried Facebook. Facebook seems much better suited to B2C, and Twitter to any business!

I would second Capsule CRM. If you want it to do invoices too, then you could go for Capsule CRM plugged into Kashflow... it's a solution we use and it works REALLY well!
CapsuleCRM is the BEST solution we have ever found, and I'm sure it would do everything you're after. It integrates with Kashflow, Mailchimp and a load of other services too.
Made and maintained by a British company. We run it across three companies and it's amazing.
