    Surrendering A Commercial Lease Advice

Rent has been paid until December. Can't really afford to pay him anything but your suggestion of £1k plus deposit is what I had in my mind to keep things amicable and hopefully to draw a line under matters. Thanks for the advice by the way

    Surrendering A Commercial Lease Advice

It's supposedly a discount - instead of paying £1k pm for the next 18 months to take me to my break clause he's "releasing" me of this obligation

    Surrendering A Commercial Lease Advice

I am renting in my own name and there are no assets of any value in the shop (I had already removed them into storage). Yes, he's getting the land registry details placed into his own name and potential new tenant will then pay for his solicitors fees. Thanks for the advise - wish me luck!

    Surrendering A Commercial Lease Advice

My landlord has now lined up another tenant and taken a deposit. My break clause is until May 2019 and he's now asking me for £6k (plus will keep my £3k deposit) to surrender my lease and to be released. I have no funds available and he needs an answer in a few days. What do you suggest I do as...

    Surrendering A Commercial Lease Advice

Hi, I am surrendering a commercial (shop) lease and the landlord has accepted as long as I pay his solicitors fees. I think I know the answer but would I need a solicitor for this as well and if so does anyone have any recommendations (finances are a bit tight at the moment - when aren't...

    Prioritised Creditors - HMRC Implications?

Hi Lisa, I borrowed funds and transferred them from my personal account into my business bank account (a stupid move I now realise) to pay my creditors. My only creditor will now be HMRC and maybe councils business rates. I still have a few jobs remaining to be completed (I haven't taken in any...

    Prioritised Creditors - HMRC Implications?

I was also advised by the IP that if I paid HMRC an equivalent amount quickly (£4300) it might be looked at more favourably and that I haven't prioritised creditors. Having set up another company the IP's comments about potentially being struck off as a director for not paying HMRC also worries me

    Prioritised Creditors - HMRC Implications?

Thanks Mr D. I've read the Spongebob plan but wasn't sure if it would apply in my situation. If I'd have used that £4300 for an IP I wouldn't have been released from the franchise and there could have been additional legal cost implications I guess.

Marketing to seniors - ideas needed

I provide kitchen makeovers (new doors on existing carcases) primarily and our target demographics are generally retired folk who like the idea of a kitchen facelift in a couple of days. The company is fairly new and I'm looking for cheap ways to market our product aimed at our target market. In...

    Prioritised Creditors - HMRC Implications?

Hi, I've been running a franchise for the past 1.5 years and am looking to wind up the company with an oustanding VAT bill of about £7500. In order to come out of my franchise agreement the franchisor advised that I needed to pay off all the suppliers they have provided me with. Having borrowed...
