Free PR: Tell us your Business Link experiences

My experience of Business Link has been entirely positive. I have used the website to find answers to business questions I've had and I have attended quite a few of their free courses. I have come away from every course with an answer to a question or a new bit of knowledge. Vicky

    QSL Public tenders?

Not used the service so can't comment on whether it's worth the money, but others you could look at to compare services and what you get for your subscription are supply2.gov.uk and tendersdirect.com. Vicky

    Digital animation

I am looking for companies that are experienced in digital animation. This is not a tender at this stage - I am doing some research for a client with a view to using digital animation shorts as part of a wider campaign. If this is something you do, or you know (and would recommend) a company...

Abbey Business Banking - if in doubt, make it up

I am sure there are people who have had no bother with Abbey Business Banking (I was one of them until my needs went beyond a monthly bank statement!). However, from the experience I have had over the past week and a half, I would not recommend their services to anyone. The customer service I...

Abbey Business Banking - if in doubt, make it up

Thanks, Mark. I agree that it's not usually the fault of the person in the call centre, which is why I try really hard to contain my frustration whilst on the phone! But this time it was the choice of the individual to completely make up a telephone number, not the bank!

Abbey Business Banking - if in doubt, make it up

Quality! I was also told they'd written to me asking for certain pieces of information before they could act on my request. I let the advisor know that I had the letter in front of me and it said no such thing. I was then told that they couldn't actually put in a letter the pieces of...

How do you know you're a senior-enough member?

If you look at the top of one of your posts, in the blue bar running across the top you have your name and avatar on the left and on the right is information about when you joined the forums and the number of posts you have to date etc. As I type this, you have 25 posts. Vicky

    PR Help please

Are you looking to hire a PR agency or just after some general advice on PR? There are a few agencies on the forums who may be able to help if it's the former and there's lots of good advice already on the forums if it's the latter. As a starter for ten, use the search facility to see what...

Abbey Business Banking - if in doubt, make it up

“If in doubt, make it up.” I think that’s the Abbey business banking mantra they drum into their staff during customer service training. After a week and a half of wrangling with the Abbey over a very simple change request, I finally lost patience today and asked for (and was given) the...

UKBF - More than just a business forum

Back in June, I posted this thread after finally losing the plot with the kitchen installation from hell. I got some terrific advice and support at the time - both on and off the forums - from UKBF members. Believe it or not, the saga has dragged on for another five months since my initial...

SALE AND RETURN - can some one please explain

That depends on how much you sell it to her for. If you sold it to her for £1.00 then she'd obviously make a much bigger profit than if you sold it to her for £2.00. Does that make sense?

SALE AND RETURN - can some one please explain

You should have a recommended retail price (the price shoppers will pay for your item) for whatever it is you are trying to sell to the shop owner (retailer) and also a trade price that you are prepared to sell to the retailer at. The difference between the two is the profit margin that the...
