Hey OldWelshGuy...I use a website checker from webfire.com that I use which is a paid service that has that tool and many others. I didn't mention it because he was looking for a free checker. But, that's what I use.
I do use a site rank checker that isn't free, but I also check them manually all the time. I don't get to obsessive about seeing the current update and will only check to see if it's on the first 4 pages.
