Partner has resigned with no notice - still on going works

OP - There has been some great advice given and you are in a challenging situation. My advice would be to gather all the financial information and then look at the impact of each possible outcome. Whatever you decide to do there will be implications, which is why, whilst you've been given some...

    marketing plan for bookkeeping practice

As someone who has run a Bookkeeping / VA practice for 8 years now and who does their own marketing, my advice would be this. 1) It takes time for clients to engage with you. People need to know, like and trust your firm. 2) whilst a website isn't that important, it is useful and helps with...

Can you make payment on account for VAT?

If you bank with Starling, you can create a "space" for VAT and put the money aside in there each month and then just transfer it back to the main bank account when the DD is due to come out

FIRST TIME BUSINESS OWNER'S - IS OPENING A INDEPENDENT GYM WORTH IT?

As someone who uses a local gym 3x a week, I have to ask what would be your USP? Who is your target market? Also price point is a big factor to consider too when considering your market. For example, we're a couple in our early 40's and we've been looking at changing gym lately and although you...

    Mailing and packaging charges

If your sending small packages then look into royal mail. I ship small parcels up to 2kg via royal mail for £2.99 second class and that includes free collection (obvs, check if they offer this in your area). Yes the likes of Yodel and Evri can be cheaper but I personally find the service better...

Advise needed on self employment and limited company formation

There is no reason why you can't invoice them as a sole trader under your own name. To set up as a limited company, you'd have the company formation costs, have to open a separate business bank account, have to keep more in depth records, submit an annual return, confirmation statement etc and...

Sale of services to EU count towards VAT threshold?

on the plus side, if you do register for VAT and your customers in Germany are VAT registered, you can invoice them EX-VAT so they would be unaffected by the change
