I have used and joined a site called stall finder, which has given me a lot of contacts for a yearly fee of £10.00. It has worked out very good value for finding craft fairs and being asked to attend them as well.

As you will only be here for 6 months, is this 6 months solid or every other month etc. Be aware that you could start up and do all the hard legwork and someone else will get the work when you are not here. i would do a very use full for and against list and see what the outcome is.
