Importing personalised tea tins from China

Since posting, I’ve found a few UK manufacturers, including Tinware Direct. Thanks - I think that’s the way to go.

Importing personalised tea tins from China

We are starting to sell our tea and I think a tea tin featuring our tearoom would be a nice momento or gift. I’ve found a few places in China that do this sort of thing, but has anyone on here done anything similar and are able to offer advice?

Setting up a not for profit

I used to know a dry cleaner who paid his customers their parking fee back if they left a certain amount of cleaning with him. It worked brilliantly as dry cleaning is heavy and you do need a car.

Setting up a not for profit

Thanks @DoolallyTap and others for your responses. The council are now considering our idea ‘and might be able to make a contribution’. We are planning on giving the map out to visitors at our monthly market (120+ stalls) the train station, bus station and tourist information, as well as in...

We hope to get a 70% response. A few are not independents and we hope they will contribute more.

    Now opened a tearoom

I tried to share an office with my husband once — disaster! No, I’m running it with my sister. We have clearly defined roles — she’s in the kitchen, I’m FOH. Sometimes she tries to steal my staff, but on the whole, it been OK. But it’s early days….?

Being paid for end of tenancy cleaning job

As a tenant, I’ve had to pay for this cleaning, several times. I’ve always had to pay upfront.

    Now opened a tearoom

This made me smile. I have lost weight too without trying. The gym would have been cheaper!

    Now opened a tearoom

Thanks @WaveJumper Even though this is the third time I’ve done this and I’ve been self employed for over 20 years, I’ve made lots of mistakes. But you can’t plan for everything and we are constantly making little changes and tweaks. We’ve only been open 8 weeks — each week has been better than...

    Now opened a tearoom

I’ve been away from the forum for a while as I’ve found premises, refurbished them and opened a tearoom. It’s in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Are there any other hospitality businesses on here?
