That isn't enough of a reason to go with Shopify, I previously had a client before who had this same dilemma and they were more inclined to go with Shopify because it was Ruby on Rails so I just built them a custom store myself using Ruby on Rails, Spree commerce and hand-coding the whole site...
Your question shouldn't be how much should it cost but rather how much are you willing to pay to get exactly what you want?
