Help! Someone is trying to trademark my company name!

Thank you all for your weigh in. I have emailed the company that filed the application and asked them to withdraw tit. Maybe they didn't realised I had a company and the url for this, but I would be surprised if they hand't done their due diligence. I will wait for their response and if they...

Help! Someone is trying to trademark my company name!

I have been trading for a year and a half and just found out that someone submitted a trademark application for my company name/url. Strangely their application from January is still pending but what are my rights? I have emailed the company involved and asked the to remove their application...

Ins and Outs of Leased Lines?

Thanks StevensOnln1 for point out the voucher scheme. I found out we do qualify for a Gigabit Voucher which is worth £3000! We have realised that I have to choose a speed of at least 100 Meg, so the prices are a bit higher. I have been trying now to find the best suppliers and used this...

Advice - Dug ourselves a hole. Given an inch taking a mile

I think you are 100% correct. its not only that you are being taken advantage of, if he is usually the unit when you aren't there - things can (and obviously have) gone walking. That isn't right. You can't make people always happy and it sounds like you tried. He will have to find somewhere...

    Would you use a consultant?

I have been a freelance consultant for about 11 years. Until 3 years ago when I had to bow out for personal reasons, I generally was never unemployed. That said, I didn't offer 'solutions' as I have found most clients needed someone to bounce ideas around their concept to identify the...

Dunkirk on Netflix. Just amazing. It should be mandatory in schools this time of the year. We really shouldn't forget.

Cheapest way to close a dormant company that still has expenses?

HI All, I have sorted the issue out. Will have to stop the DS1 until I have filed my taxes and got my return. I am using my past accountant and she agrees that its all fine from an expense point of view. Thank you for the comments.

Cheapest way to close a dormant company that still has expenses?

So when I say I wasn't trading, i wasn't brining anything in. I decided in 2017 to just move it to dormant until things got under control and now have decided to close.

Cheapest way to close a dormant company that still has expenses?

Yes it is. I was still on payroll. I had a new website (we moved to a different part of the country), I did some training and was trying to move the consulting in a different direction, etc. I just couldn't execute my plan well enough to get the clients onboard as there was so much on.

What's the last film you watched?

Quickshop I agree. We just finished episode 2 (eg. where kitten comes back 'alive' :) ) Sadly the husband is less than enthusiastic. May have to watch it while he is at conference next week.

Cheapest way to close a dormant company that still has expenses?

Ah good question. I was trying to trade but due to personal reasons, I just could do it. So I was still running the company and trying ... but I wasn't in a state to do the work. Does that make any sense?

Ins and Outs of Leased Lines?

Hi Steve. We do have an O2 toggle but it just doesn't give us much support as our connection isn't great. Your description of how leased lines work fits with how I thought they would work, so it sounds like we are moving in the right direction. How then do we find the right provider?
