Please Help Me With My Strapline!

Everyone, thanks for the replies. Sadly, no one even suggested their favourite from the list available, as was my original request. 3 and 9 seem to be batting it out on other forums and via emails from my client base. Cutoff for this is next week, so if anyone would like to vote, feel free!

Please Help Me With My Strapline!

I am looking to add a strapline to our solar panel cleaning company. Examples of great straplines are: Just Do It – Nike Because You’re Worth It – L’Oreal Every Little Helps – Tesco I’m trying to do a bit of market research and the forum is just one avenue I'm exploring. Below are some ideas...

Help With Multiple Phone Numbers On 2 Phone Lines Please

16 year old looking at starting business offering a service. Advice please!

Don't do what's 'hot' at the moment. Social media is very faddish. Here's my 3 golden rules: 1. Do something you enjoy. If you don't enjoy it, you won't stick at it. 2. Do something around what you are good at. If you are no good at it, you won't stick at it. 3. Do something that is here to...

Help With Multiple Phone Numbers On 2 Phone Lines Please

Hi everyone. I run 2 businesses from home. When the phone rings at the moment, my wife doesn't know whether to answer for business 1, business 2 or normally for personal calls. We move house in two weeks so it's an ideal time to sort this out. Is it possible to have one number for...

New business and working tax credits

It was vague Kulture because as the OP says, the business WILL be set up. I did not know if it would be ltd so did not know if he would be director. I do agree with Kulture though John in that you can work for a pittance and be eligible for tax credits. I have done it for a very short time.

Window cleaning BUSINESS. Not self employment

I have window cleaned for 17 years and I was my chief source of income until recently. What you are proposing is very difficult. It takes many hours of canvassing to even get enough work for 1 or 2 men, let alone 'people'. I think you are underestimating severely what you intend to do...

New business and working tax credits

Not sure about a few things here.:| I have recently set up a business and had to claim credits, but I was still taking a wage. 1. What kind of small business are you setting up? Will you be a sole trader or a ltd company? 2. To my knowledge, you do not need a contract or work set hours...

Sole trader - how do you refer to yourself?

I ran my own business for 15 years before it went LTD. I always used to refer to myself as the business owner. When people I didn't know asked me what I did for work, I would say "I own my own business."

How did you get starded in business? Share your stories to a 17 year old (long read)

I'd say you need to learn more than the basics before you get investors on board. Unlikely they will do it for a reasonable cut if you are so new to the game.

How did you get starded in business? Share your stories to a 17 year old (long read)

Hi. I started my first business the day after I left school. I set up a window cleaning business trudging the streets where I lived. 17 years have passed. I now own 2 LTD companies and one has gone from nothing to covering the whole of the UK in 3 months. A certain mantra says you need to...

    Staff Wage Increases

Hi everyone. Just wondering if you all put wages up annually or if wages are generally frozen at the moment. I would have not increased wages for 2 years come January. If I do increase, how much should they go up by? Thanks in advance.
