Hello I’m Nishi Patel the founder of Northants Accounting, as a Chartered Management Accountant based in Northampton I’ve followed a slightly unconventional route into the world of small business finance.

Although the early part of my career involved traditional accountancy work, as it progressed I took on roles supporting a buying team and a sales team in departments turning over £370M and £270M respectively, this involved working with business directors and providing them with the information they needed to not only grow their profits but also to manage the risks that they faced.

I genuinely believe that a business is never too small to collaborate with an accountant who can help them take a balanced view of their activities and work with them to achieve their objectives. I understand that not everyone is focused on becoming a millionaire, some business owners are concerned about the threat from competitors, improving profitability, having more family time or even turning their one man/woman band into a business they can eventually sell.
