    Thanks for the replies. They're asking permission to check previous address, any issuance of government sanctions and criminal record history. None of which I think is standard practice in the UK for limited companies or individuals unless your job means you work in healthcare or with children.

    Hey, thanks for your reply. Would someone buy a registered company thats dormant for the use of it's name? Thats what I was considering. I'm aware you can trade under a different name but I was hoping to have a company registered in a name I really wanted. Is that a good enough reason?
