    Cold call about Pat testing

    The best approach is not to agree to anything from a cold call. I know it's hard to tell sometimes, particularly if by luck or judgement they get their timing right. There's a lot of unecessary PAT testing. Make sure you really do need to have it done.

    I agree with Les En, monitors, printers and photocopiers being left on take up loads of energy, which can so easily be avoided. Also one of my pet hates is the heating being on and someone opening their window.

    We have found that magnetic message boards work really well and cut down paper usage.
