We do our own (2 of us) when we get a quiet day. Advantages: we know for sure that they've been delivered, we can target individual streets or areas, and as already mentioned, there are exercise benefits. Disadvantages: can be 'hit & miss' with the time, ie you have a quiet day one week so...
In my experience, YP aren't interested in discounts, don't seem to care if you advertise with them or not, have a poor Customer Service department......reps are rude & clueless, I could go on. Still use 'em but have cut it down a lot.
I have a landline with an answering machine giving the mobile number. Both numbers appear side by side in the adverts, etc. - I don't think people mind your 'mainly used' number being a mobile, as long as they can see the existance of a landline as well. I tried the 'divert to mobile' route, but...
To me, there's a world of difference between blatently telling lies ie "we've got 100 staff & a huge office block" when in fact it's 1 man in a garden shed, & having, say, a smart website & posh stationery, maybe a couple of extra phone numbers/email addresses that give a good impression, an...

Has anyone ever bought a van online? If so, what was your experience like? I'm looking to buy a new van & just wondered what these 'discount' online firms were like. Any info/comments/suggestions welcome.
Thanks, Dave
I've read the previous posts about Chris Cardell but I would like to know if anyone has paid for his course of seminars, not had the promised increase in sales/turnover, & had their money refunded under the guarantee he offers. The latest series of emails I'm receiving promise £12k increase or...
I've used call divert in the past & as you say, you never miss a call. The only problem I found was constant unwanted calls from telesales people, calls which I was paying for....anyone got a way round this, I'd use it again if so!
In my experience, they simply don't care, once they have your money. Their only response is that "you need a bigger ad". They aren't bothered if one person doesn't renew, if NO-ONE renewed they may feel differently...
