    They just made something easy that can be done in a few steps require a step or two less. That's all. If it's a free service then fine if it's paid, it's way better to do it yourself.

    Yeah as others have said the best way to do this is to copy the site to staging and test/update everything there one by one.

    As far as I know siteground also uses subdomains as staging area.

    Easy to migrate. Does your hosting really affect your SEO though? As you said your site isn't over intensive right now so it might be better to look at what other things needs improving SEO wise.

    I would like to add to this. If you do really plan on creating video content on making your products it would also be an additional help if you could do it on live streaming sites like twitch. There are a few crafters there that make decent money showing their craft.

    You don't need tricks to rank. I've started SEO more than a decade ago and the only tricks google filtered are those black hat techniques.

    A short and concise newsletter linking to the landing page is what I would go for. Also complementing that with regular blog posts also linking to the landing page would be perfect.
