What can I do with signuptoday.co.uk - any ideas please

Hello - I am a retired signage manufacturer and have the domain signuptoday.co.uk (registered in 1999). Does anyone have any business ideas (50-50) that could use such a novel domain name? ‘Sign Up Today‘ for what? You may ask, this is where an original thought comes into play (if there is such...

EBay is Not the way to go

Hello Siobhan, I did sell a few sets through a local mystic shop that sold all sorts of weird stuff but it closed down last month, such a shame that we are losing outlets at such a pace. I have considered a lot of alternatives but come up with the same solution, put them in the bin! I did enjoy...

EBay is Not the way to go

Thank you FanTF - It is a hobby and one I enjoyed doing, taking the project from idea to fruition. I have considered Etsy but have limited computer skills and it seems daunting to set up, but thanks for the suggestion, I will look into it as I still have a lot to dispose of. The old saying...

EBay is Not the way to go

My goodness, there is a lot of quality information/suggestions in the replies. As I developed TELLiT Cards as something to do after I retired it became an all consuming project. I designed the cards as an alternative to Tarot that I thought had far too dark meanings and you needed someone to...

EBay is Not the way to go

It’s a hobby that is why I’m selling so cheap. Not blaming EBay for losses they just make it so easy to say items have not arrived. One customer (after I sent a replacement) said his package came the day after he complained. So I gave up, I’ve got 1,920 sets to go, any ideas?

EBay is Not the way to go

Hello - I produced a pack of cards similar to tarot and sold them on EBay for a number of years. The cost to me to produce them was £1.60 per pack. It cost £1.63 (one first and one second class) to post them, so far £3.23. I then put them on EBay at £4.95 per set. Now here is the reason for this...

    Extra Money

Thank you for all the lovely feedback. Further to my post. About 25 years ago I used to have kids from the local school visit me for a day or two on ‘work experience’. One of the lads loved my business so much he now runs a very, very successful digital printing business in the Birmingham...

    Extra Money

Hello - I am nearly 74 and customers won’t leave me alone. I earned my living, self employed, for 30 years and retired (or tried to) several years ago, but since then I am constantly asked to do jobs. I am telephoned, can you just do this or can you quote me for that, although giving up 90% of...

HOW MANY STARS? Think about it over Christmas

Hello - According to the BBC Science Focus magazine there are about two trillion (a trillion is a million million) galaxies out there. Each galaxy contains around 100 billion (a billion is a thousand million) stars. Just think of all the untapped customers out there - just go find them! Merry...

WOW - This is far more interesting. The duel slit experiment, how does that happen! If observed, it creates a different pattern to when it is not, spooky. So unless we observe something it’s not there... It’s that bloody cat again, I could not get my head around that one.

Thank you Terry for your suggestions. I’ve looked at the signup.com site and thought of going down this route in a small way. For local clubs and small organisations. The suggestion of writing an article, as in a blog, I’ve tried that, it did not work. I wrote a comprehensive study of becoming a...

    Generating income online

Thanks. I have been looking at previous posts and one caught my eye, Letters After A. Name. I use the BA as I am proud of my achievement and I believe it also adds weight to ones comments. I was also a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and have used these letters after my name in...

Hi Fisicx - as it’s going to be easy ( your last post) how do I go about it. Time is of no consequence as I’m semi-retired. Peter
