Ordinary Resolution or Special Resolution? Or not legal anyway?

There is a block of 100 flats where each flat owner has one share in the freehold company (FC Ltd, total share capital 100 shares). FC Ltd owns the freehold and is responsible for service charges, maintenance etc. The directors want to propose a resolution at the next AGM so that only...

Can I view an "option to purchase" agreement for land?

Thanks but the only documents that seem to be available are the title register and the title plan. I've contacted the Land Registry to see if they can provide a copy per @Gyumri 's suggestion.

Can I view an "option to purchase" agreement for land?

On the title register from the Land Registry, in section C: Charges Register, one of the entries is an option to purchase agreement registered by an individual. It states "NOTE 1: copy filed". Is there any way I can find and view this agreement?

Debt collection recommendation for one-off debt

The small claims court? No we haven't taken any formal legal action ourselves. Would this be a better bet than leaving it all to someone else?

Debt collection recommendation for one-off debt

We've got a one-off debt of 3.7k. We've tried being reasonable etc but this guy isn't going to pay very easily. Can anyone recommend someone who would help with this one? It's a guy in north Manchester who owes us a debt going back to 2019. We didn't have up to date contact details back then but...

Charge VAT to schools or not?

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I googled my issue and this came up. We are an eligible body supplying education services to schools so it's my understanding that this is an exempt supply for VAT. My question is, is this optional i.e. can we charge VAT if we want to anyway? If we can...

    Rising energy costs

What sorts of prices are people getting for electricity at the moment? Ours is at 37p until September, I'm trying to get a handle on what it could be after that.

What to do with ltd with a large pot of cash in bank

I've been considering this too but worried about security. Can I ask where/how you store them (without being too specific of course!)?

    Opening a business deposit account

Santander. We've been with them for about 3 years now. I've used the account daily and they've still asked for proof of my identity and other things re the company structure that they already know. It's taken about 6 weeks so far. If I was cynical I might think they are deliberately making it as...

    Opening a business deposit account

We are in the fortunate situation of having cash in the bank now after running a considerable overdraft for several years. We've been trying to open a deposit account with our current bank but it's taking weeks. They want all sorts of forms completing and we're having to go through a lot of KYC...

What is the best way to chase a debt

Latest update. We issued an LBA and received no response. I was just about to start a MoneyClaim but I've now noticed that in the last two weeks the company has had two CCJ's issued (1.7k and 2.6k). Previously they had a clean credit record. Is it still worth us spending £115 to go down the...

What is the best way to chase a debt

I did ask to speak to the FD/accounts directly but was given the brush off. I've only got details for this one person (whose job title is "marketing executive") and he's always answered the general enquiries phone number. They are a reasonably sized company on linkedin but there are no finance...

What is the best way to chase a debt

An update. I have spoken with the only contact we have a couple of times. He first told me that the accounts department had "all gone home" and promised to speak to them and call me back. The second time he said he had spoken with his FD but they hadn't decided what to do and he would call me...

    Credit card charges

Thank you that is what I suspected. This is with Trust Payments but it's via the company that provides the front desk system for the hotel, it was on their recommendation. I will investigate/complain further.

What is the best way to chase a debt

I'm still here, thank you for all the advice. No they haven't given a reason for not paying, just excuses. As I said this one has just been passed to me, I haven't taken any action yet but I'll report back whether I make progress or not.
