I spent the afternoon with a new client today - they were fascinated by what I explained they could do with Instagram. They hadn't even heard of it. If he had a place he could log in, view all of my step by step guides (not full of bull) of how to build up, and what he should be doing - with...
Yes exactly - that's what I would teach fisicx.
I think a lot of the responses are focusing on the wrong thing. The key is that people (At least my clients I've spoken to) WANT to know about social media, online marketing. But don't have the time/knowledge to research it - they aren't tech...
Thanks for the feedback - all helps.
Yep I think with the net now everything is available for free. Trouble is most of my clients that would use this/would want the advice wouldn't know where to start and would be happy to pay for on going advice/improvements/suggestions. For example how would...
Hey guys,
I've come up with a new business idea / extension to my business and I'm trying to test the waters to see how viable it is.
I currently run a Web Design Company (my background).
Time and time again I teach small business owners very basic things - The difference between a Facebook...
Hey guys,
I've got myself in to a pickle really with selling online (I run a full time web design business which has got me working 12 hour days+) and the stuff I sold online I just don't have time to do anymore.
One of which is £12,000 worth of bags stock (nightmare)! But the more simpler one...
None of it would be over the VAT limit.
1. (Me - Sole Trader) - Selling the remainder of my stock as I'm closing it all down
Then (Would be)
2. (Company - VAT Registered) - Providing Design services charging VAT (barely buying anything).
Both would have turnover well under the VAT limit. I...
Strange, it seems opinion is very mixed on this. Either way I think it's still probably best for me to avoid VAT if this is the case, sounds like too much hassle & if I have to make everything I do (through sole trader & the company) VAT registered there's no way it's feasible at the moment.
Thanks again.
I talked it over with my accountant friend last night who said it could work but would have to be a very clear division of buying and selling.
I may avoid being VAT registered for the time being, at least till I've cleared my selling stock just to avoid confusion. The only...
Crap! Thanks guys that's much appreciated.
My selling sites I'm in the process of closing down so I don't want to particularly have to add VAT in to the mix, I was hoping with the company being separate it would be "self contained" as you will, so the company would pay and handle all the VAT...
Hey guys,
So the way I'm currently set up is I'm a Sole Trader.
I have 2 sites which sell different products, plus being a web designer.
I'm starting up a new site which will be for a specific niche but will need to be VAT Registered, as I'm trying to keep prices similar to someone who was...
Hey guys,
So I'm finally getting to the stage where I need to use some sort of accounting software. My aims will be:
1. To accurately manage money in/out on a monthly basis
2. To send Invoice.
3. To Track Owed Payments.
I'm only one person so it'll be Sole Trader, but VAT registered.
The...
