    Postage: First vs second class

I agree 1st class is a must for a professional cart & service. If your checkout allows it, you could always give you customers a DISCOUNT for 2nd class ;)

    Is this Legal?

Is he/she a 'provvy' type woman? eg; Goes around the houses to lend and collect? There is a forum I can't recall, I think it was singing pig! with some discussions in that area, quite profitable by the comments I remember reading.

    Chinese Lanterns

Has anybody heard of any potential legal problems selling these? My supplier is a reputable UK based company. They are age restricted to 18 and have a huge disclaimer on the back (Don't set off near airports, no more than 5mph winds etc) The market for them is huge at the moment. When used...

    Business Credit Cards with cashback/rewards

Hello, Is there any good reward/cashback/airmiles BUSINESS credit cards anyone can recommend? HSBC provide us with "commercial cards" at £28/per card per year, the balance is paid off in full each month so they are fantastic for cash flow. HSBC don't offer any rewards, and with £3,500...

    O/T: Housing Boom/Bust

It's good to hear some mixed opinions. I too believe we still have some way to go, and the only people interesting in talking the market up is estate agents, developers etc etc. Houses are for living, lets hope this doesn't happen again in our lifetime (too this scale atleast)

    Rufused VAT receipt?

I don't think that is the case :( I have received conflicting information from HMRC and on the boards. HMRC told me on one occasion they will take the details but they won't 'follow it up' (basically just give them a nudge) One another occasion HMRC told me its a 'civil' matter and if they...

    Rufused VAT receipt?

Does anybody know why you can't issue a VAT receipt 30 days after the tax point? I have around £2,500 worth of receipts from a supplier who just ignores me completely, and I'm still trying to get VAT receipts from May-Aug.

    O/T: Housing Boom/Bust

I'm worried about a dead cat's bounce at the moment, I don't think housing is affordable still, especially with all this unemployment? Perhaps the banks are not completely stupid (:p), keeping ltv's around 75% as they fear a further drop and don't want more neg equity buyers The theory...

    O/T: Housing Boom/Bust

Hello, Sorry, slightly o/t but I would like to hear some peoples opinions regarding the housing market. I'm tired of reading and hearing on the news that we'll be out of recession and house prices will happily stay around about the current level for years to come. Am I the only one who thinks...

    VAT Return - box 6

Hello, I am on the Flat Rate Scheme. My accountant has arrived at the figure of £32,833.85 turnover for this period. I am on 4.5% FRS, which equals to £1,477.52. So he has put that into boxes 1,3,5. That sounds all correct to me, however... Box 6 (total value of sales ex VAT) - He...
