Clinton, are you bamboozled by buying a business? Be careful - if you answer no then you are arrogant!
For me - I was merely pointing out that I needed clarification on this particular point - not that I knew everything else!
I am the first to admit that I couldn't possibly know everything...
Why doesn't your last comment sound sincere?
You can't possibly know the answer to every question when you make your first purchase.
Its a shame you can't be a bit more supportive rather than dismissing someone you know nothing about.
Thankyou, although I am not bamboozled by buying a business .... only by this question about ltd companys. I shall certainly read all information offered which might help.
Thanks for replying.
I haven't got that far yet.
The business I am looking at (a shop) is currently run as a ltd company. I was unclear as to whether in buying the business I should/would have to take on the existing ltd company, start my own or start as sole trader.
Thanks for the reply.

Some very good ideas. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I have dipped my toe into social media but I find it very difficult to know how to use it my advantage. I guess I must learn!
About 8 years ago I started writing children's audiobooks. They have an educational bias.To date I have created and self published 5 audiobooks and over the years have managed to get them in a couple of minor online stores and onto Amazon.
I have very good ratings on Amazon, mostly 5 star...
I wasn't going to use it - I just appreciate your sense of humour ;)
As I have already said - I'm going to go for something which is fairly 'obvious'.
Thanks for everyone's input.
I should explain, it is holiday property rentals and holiday home management for Brits with a property in France. I'm sure 'La Frog' was tongue in cheek! o_O I prefer 'Les Property Renteurs', but need something which would convey better the secteur I'm in. Thanks for your help :)
I tend to agree - I'd prefer an English name as my clients will be English. Perhaps it's the sort of business where the name does exactly what it says on the tin? A bit boring though...
Would anyone have any suggestions please for a catchy business name. The business is in property and gites management and will be in France, but catering to English clients. The main competition is called 'Les bons voisins' (the good neighbours). Can't decide whether to go for an English or...
