    Which Merchant Services Provider?

Thanks for your help everyone. It seems from all your comments that neither are necessarily out to rook me but I could be stuck in some tricky to get out of contract if I don't read through paperwork carefully. Think I will just read through both contracts and see what one looks the fairest...

    Which Merchant Services Provider?

Thanks Sparx - yeah PS were 5yr contract and HP were 3yr. I'm not too bothered about length as long as there is no little detail in the contract that allows either of them to muck about with the rate once the agreement starts. I struggle to read anything good on either company but I put this...

    Which Merchant Services Provider?

Thanks Rick but their rate seems to be 2.75% for everything. I'm currently paying about half that for credit cards and small pence for debit cards. Anyone with any knowledge of Handepay and PaymentSense want to encourage me on their use or put me off rather than pointing me in different...

Thank you for taking the time to post but as your only 2 posts plug the same company it does seem that you maybe have an affiliatation to them! Any other independent advice from users/customers would be appreciated...

I've been trying to sort out a new merchant services provider for taking CNP card payments a small office. I've had rates from all the names under the sun. I'm currently with Global Iris and have had quotes beating my current rates from Handepay and PaymentSense. It seems these 2 companies...

    Public Liability Insurance

Just to clarify, public liability is not legally compulsory but many business may want to see that you have liability cover before allowing you to do any work for them. If you trade online then you are probably low risk and an annual policy of £1m cover could be as little as £50 for the year...

    Public Liability Insurance

I'm not an expert but have a feeling this could make you liable in some fashion for things that the contractor does. If you were just providing the lead to the contractor, with the contractor billing the customer directly and then giving you a commission or payout for the lead then you'd be...

Market traders licence/ Public liability insurance?

I've been on a few other liability insurance threads and a few names keep cropping up which you may want to try which are Hiscox, Ashburnham Insurance, Fortis Insurance and Allianz. Personally the NMTF sounds good if insurance is included but maybe weigh up their cost with some of the others...

    Employers & Public Liability Insurance

It would be difficult for anyone to compare prices with you are you have not said how many staff it is based on. I found that insurers normally ask for a breakdown of everyone who works at the company (directors & employees) and this affects what price they give. I pay less than £50 a year for...

    Employers & Public Liability Insurance

£44.63 a year with MMA Insurance (via Ashburnham Insurance) for £1million cover. No problems so far but guess you never know until it's time to claim  MMA checked out ok in my research before I took it out. the broker used was cheaper than others I saw. I don't know much about them but at...

    Employers & Public Liability Insurance

I've got friends in many different trades and it seems that no company is the "best" for everything. We all shop around at renewal and try different companies. We all normally find doing a google search for "public liability insurance" is the easiest thing to do and just try the top 5 or 6.
