And this for the year so far:
To calculate the accrued holiday without statutory days, we’ll first remove the 8 statutory days from the annual entitlement and then pro-rate the remaining days.
Non-statutory holiday entitlement:
21.5 days−8 statutory days=13.5 discretionary days21.5 days−8...
I try and avoid ChatGPT (or AI in general as I work in the creative sector) for ethical reasons, but this one has been a real struggle (with it not being the same days each week), so I caved in. This is what it said - I can't see a reason why this doesn't work:
To calculate the holiday...
Their leave entitlement says 25 plus stats prorata. It was set before we agreed number of days. Now I need to confirm for definite. Number of days they are entitled to and number of days accrued so far since June 17th.
Thank you.
So 104hrs per month, 26hrs per week. Multiplied by 6.6 = 171.6. So to work out how many days to give is it then divided by 8 (8hrs per day)?
Sorry, I feel wasn't clear. The employee works 3 days of 8 hrs per day for 3 weeks a month, then one of the weeks they work 4 days of 8 hrs. So 104hrs a month.
Hey all. I'm trying to work out holiday entitlement for our first employee who is part time. There are many online calculators but they're based on same days each week. Our employee works 3 days for 3 weeks and 4 days for 1 week each month.
I need to work out what their annual entitlement is...
Thanks everyone for your feedback - all super helpful.
I've got a lot of thinking to do. I need to make the right decision for how to ensure I'm speculating to accumulate really. I'm doing OK, but not earning a crazy amount, but the potential is there to go up a level if I have another pair of...
So if my guy also freelances for other people, then I'd be hiring a self-employed person. Then it would require a contract? I'm just weighing up options here - I can employ him or he can be a freelancer and I contract him?
I literally asked if he would be interested in leaving his current role and if he would consider working for me. Based on that question I wasn't going to go into full detail of my setup and what that all means. That's what my post here is about. To understand next steps and get it right. A...
Thanks, I'll look into that. As self-employed, can I still offer him full time employment with the benefits he wants? Or do I need to be a limited company?
I've not lied to him at all. I wanted to know if he was interested in leaving his current job as he enjoys doing the freelance work for me. I've not had any bigger conversation - he clearly is interested for him to send the questions. That's as far as it's got. Offering the contract was just a...
Hi all, I'm self-employed and running a design business using regular freelancers to support me. It's finally time to bring someone regular onboard. They currently work at a mid-sized agency but would love to work for me. My concern is that I am far from a 'company' and don't have any of the...
