THE COMPANY CHRISTMAS PARTY - Please don't force staff to go...!

I'll go, as long we're not forced to eat turkey. I'm fairly sure it's illegal.

    The problem with website designers

I just had a look at the website of one of the companies in the industry - one that maintains these vessels, and a former client of ours. Their website is for investors, not for customers. I mean, why do you think a company like Saudi Aramco has a website? To tell consumers where they can fill...

    The problem with website designers

Cars and yachts are different. I've never seen an advert for a £300 million superyacht. I don't read those kinds of magazines. Do you? Have they made you want to buy one?

    The problem with website designers

They have them. But they're not sales tools. You're not going to find an "add to cart" button on their sites. As for how you browse the market, your PA arranges a meeting with a representative of the yacht builder who takes your requirements and comes back with a proposed design. These things...

    The problem with website designers

If your clients are, for example, people who want to buy £100 million superyachts, you don't need a website to sell your company. Your potential customers aren't going to be sold on a Google search. They're going to find out from their friends who have £100 million superyachts.

    Immigration/asylum for UK profit

Judging by government contracts in the past, I suspect the government is being overcharged by the hotel companies and their intermediaries for those rooms as well. When COVID isolations hotels were in force, they charged £175 per night to stay in a Travelodge in south London. That's far more...

Will digital ID cards tackle illegal working?

As I said earlier, so was the BRP. That was all in place until 10 months ago.

Will digital ID cards tackle illegal working?

So how is that a problem?

Will digital ID cards tackle illegal working?

It doesn't act as an id though. It can't be used to prove your right to rent or work, or to travel, say, to Ireland.

    Immigration/asylum for UK profit

I didn''t say they disperse *quickly*. They do disperse. It's not a schoolful of people being dumped in one place. But they still do it. It's not just foreigners doing it here. And they don't want your pedophiles any more than you do, that's why they sent Gary Glitter back.

    Immigration/asylum for UK profit

By the way - with a fertility rate of 1.41, and the current average life expectancy of 81.23 years, the population will halve within 60 years, and a much higher proportion of the population will be elderly and require medical and supportive care before then.

    Immigration/asylum for UK profit

If you just talk about "immigration", you're talking about ALL immigrants, not just the irregular ones. If you're using that as lazy shorthand for irregular migrants, than that's extremely dangerous, because once someone gets tagged as an immigrant, the assumption is that they're here illegally...

    Immigration/asylum for UK profit

And what does the fertility rate figure have to do with that? I gave that figure in response to Paul's question about how we profit from immigration - not "irregular immigration", he just said "immigration". 1353 people are dispersed to various places across the UK, if they apply and are housed...

    Immigration/asylum for UK profit

Nope. You said: So what's unregulated and unmanaged about that? Unless you are happy that legal migration is already legal and managed, and you don't think there's anything about it that needs to change. Because that's what Reform and others are advocating. They don't separate legal and...
