Schools are also another area to try.
Many schools are keen to promote eco awareness to pupils as part of the curriculum - you could perhaps also offer to explain your products and how they help the environment to the children whilst you clean their teacher's car!
Schools are expected to work within strict financial regulations laid down by their governing body - failure to pay debts within the required timescale is not acceptable and over spending on budget incurs the full wrath of the auditors - an experience to be avoided at all costs.

Have you phoned the school? If you sent the invoice to the person who ordered the goods, rather than the bursar then the problem could lie here. I've had to chase up many an invoice from a teacher who has received it and not passed it on for payment. Once it gets into their 'filing system'...

Very interesting reply and I was curious because my strengths lie in my admin/organisational skills but I know I need to toughen up in other areas such as negotiation and bargaining. In fact I'll check with my kids - they're very good at knowing that 'maybe' actually means 'yes' and so does 'no'.
Can I just say that, as a new startup, this is a really good question and giving me food for thought - I've been mulling this over and over so please keep the advice coming!
