Banning knife imports from Japan -> UK?

I have reached out to our account manager to see if there are any changes regarding this. Currently FedEx Terms and Conditions online state no flick or gravity knives are allowed. If you get stuck, feel free to reach out to me.

Banning knife imports from Japan -> UK?

I haven't seen any recent changes from FedEx regarding their restricted items. Has the description of the goods changed, or have you ordered a different item than usual? I have a couple of customers that we import chef knives and we do use FedEx on occasions.

Importing forwarder charges for lack of documentation

Hi Joel, Just to clarify, the responsibility for providing the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Dangerous Goods Note (DGN) rests with the shipper in this case (supplier). The freight forwarder should have asked at the time of booking is there is any hazardous goods as part due diligence...

Looking to start my own business as self employed driver

The OP would not be at a loss with those rates. Yes they wouldn't make much probably equal to minimum wage. But as you said this industry has a very high failure rate hance why if was going into the van sector i would want some regular work lined up before i even considered buying a van. Then...

Looking to start my own business as self employed driver

I would recommend speaking to local transport companies to see if you can subcontract regular work from them. I would expect the rates to be pretty poor but it will give regular work whilst you find you own direct work. An example close to me is £125 a day then 19p a mile as a subcontractor .

How will Trump tariffs affect us then?

What like some sort of European free trade agreement that sounds like a good plan. Why would anyone leave that with no plan

How will Trump tariffs affect us then?

We don't rely on the USA for anything other than oil and we have oil if we decided to drill. Yes the USA could be self sufficient but taking the Rolls example the scale of economy work much better the way its done with all assembly done in 1 place with a global supply chain supplying. Rather...

How will Trump tariffs affect us then?

The same could be said about the Pharma and machinery we get from the USA. It expect its because we have the knowledge / expertise in certain parts as they do in others which is why i think having a global approach is better allround. The other problem with the way the tariffs are set out is if...

How will Trump tariffs affect us then?

USA doesn't need anything from us and we don't need anything from them, they like our high end cars, precision machinery, Pharma our biggest non service exports. Our trade with the USA on goods is near enough the same which is why i don't think the tariffs between us make any sense.
