    Company Name

Thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it. Thinking about it, it wouldn't take much work for me to change my name while keeping almost the same. I'll have to think about it.

    Company Name

I've been trading for a number of years as a sole trader however I've been thinking of going to a ltd company. However someone has recently registered a ltd company using the same name as what I've been trading in. Would there be any issues registering a ltd company using my trading name...

Windows 10 to be Free (but)

The way I read it was you can upgrade for free for the first 12 months and, if you want to upgrade after that, you'll have to pay. Have Microsoft actually confirmed they are going down subscription based pricing?

net and biz - which is best?

I know someone in the US who has built up a successful business using .biz. Personally I'd get both but promote the net domain. Sounds more professional imo.

    Software for IT Support Business

Not sure if this will suit your needs but have a look at PCRT (PC Repair Tracker). Alternatively have a look at Spiceworks, it's free and their support is top notch.

    Bitcoin Rant

I can see Bitcoins (and all Cryptocurrency) going one way, and that's crashing and burning. During the early days it was worth it, but now, not so much.

Hi all, I thought I'd drop by and say hello. My name is Steve and I'm an IT techie and general geek. I provide IT support for home and small business users in Cannock, West Midlands. I also design and maintain the odd website for my friends and family.

how can I get rid of this?

Follow Darren's instructions :) However if you can't find anything, click Start -> All Programs and look for Startup. If you see a file in the Startup folder called Thomas, right click on it and click Copy and paste the file on to your desktop (alternatively, select delete).

Desktop Replacement Laptop for Business Use

I've used the HP ProBook 455 and a Lenovo T540 over the last couple of years and both have been fantastic. I upgraded the HDDs to SSDs which made them even better. They are both within your price range but lack the 17" screen. However you could always hook them up to an external monitor...
