Setting up simple EU Company to act as EC-Rep?

There are companies that will act as a fiscal representative in the EU. Essentially you will send your order to them, they will send it to your customer. They will clear customs and send you the bill.

    Landlord service charge increase issue

I just find it unjust that the tenant is liable to fix a roof that is "broken". That damage to the roof is over a period of time, the tenant has no control of it. When I let my property out, my tenant isn't liable to any major building repairs..I am as a landlord. Even if the lease says the...

    Landlord service charge increase issue

As it stands, they are saying there has been increase in water and electricity but also "major" repairs to roof and communal parts. Are tenants liable for the construction if the building? Can anyone recommend a solicitor who will give us initial advice on this?

Hello fellow businessman, after some advice. We lease a unit in a commercial old mill. We have a contract signed 3 years ago for 12 months and rolling since then. The contract is for c. £350/month in service charge. We received an invoice (with no notice) in Nov for £1950/month and the same for...

Rateable value and small business relief

Does it have to be revalued? If there's a sublease, the rateable value stays the same, but we're only using say 80% of it?

Rateable value and small business relief

Hi We're considering renting an office that has a rateable value of £12,500. £500 above the relief threshold. As the unit is quite large, we're happy to sublease 1 room but we don't know if that will take the rate down or how to approach it? It's a shame.throw away £1,500 because of such a...

    Chinese supplier dispute

That's will have limited influence. If the jurisdiction was Chinese, or English, what steps could we take? Not stating the governing law doesnt render the contract invalid.

I think this thread is taking a direction away from my original question.

    Chinese supplier dispute

The reason for the air is: 1. It's stupidly late, if we have a chance to sell anything this winter, it'll have to come via air. Sea is 10 weeks. 2. We're not sure that the bulk quality is good. Willing to risk 20%.

    Chinese supplier dispute

Yes. Put the sea part aside, we want 20% of production to be shipped by air, prior to the sea shipment of the rest. We have paid the 30% deposit on the whole quantity. The still want us to pay the full price per item on the 20%, as if no deposit was paid.

We have. 6 weeks ago. Production is finished.

    Chinese supplier dispute

This is the second time we are producing with this supplier. We paid a 30% deposit. The delivery date was supposed to be early Sep(!). They kept providing samples for approvals but ignored the comments, resulting in a frustrating cycle of producing the same quality samples for 3 months. They...
