I've been thinking about a startup comparison site for some time now. It's in a niche market that I'm familiar with, and that isn't already targeted. In addition to comparing cost of products, I want a "blog" kind of thing which has tips, info and so on about said niche market.

Why would a consumer use your website instead of Amazon? You can adjust settings on Amazon to find certain price ranges, locations, fee of postage and so on.
Also, there's already huge comparison websites such as Pricerunner - again, why would anyone use your ecommerce rather than a website...
I have looked around. There's a few on Etsy that seems to be selling at a steady pace (some have over 100 reviews). There's a few brands here and there but nothing is really established in that sense.
