Thanks Ian. That still leaves the issue of whether 'my' audience (35+ in age) is actually on TikTok? Are there any reliable stats on who actually uses it? Or is it a matter of 'sucking and seeing', so to speak?
Hi Calvin. Sorry about the slow response, I've been super busy. I'm definitely interested in talking to you. How/when do you want to do it? Cheers, Mark.
Well I don't think I look too bad, but my dancing is Mr Bean level, but perhaps with slightly less flair! Maybe that could be my angle! Seriously though, unless I'm just too old to get it (quite probably), how does TikTok generate leads for a business - especially one like mine where my target...
Thanks. I've looked at Facebook groups but they all seem to be choc full of spam and nonsense. I'm not sure how to make us standout in a sea of constant posts in these groups? Maybe there's some secret to it?
Any idea how to reach these local directories?
Partnerships would be an excellent...
Thanks for the reply. It's increased sales that I want. My problem with getting into debt is that I've seen it hasn't worked for the majority of our rivals over the years (they went bankrupt). These rivals were no doubt steered by wiser/more experienced heads than me, so if they couldn't make it...
We do make a little bit of money on 'extras' that some customers want. But we're not greedy, and the best way to make more money from these add ons would be to sell more of them - which brings us back to getting more clients.
By 'change in approach', did you mean us focussing more on the add...
Yes, exactly. The business model works well I think. The problem is obtaining new customers. With people selling on average every ten years, repeat business is a slow process, so we need to gather new clients constantly.
It would be easy to make the systems work in any market. The problems are language, lack of any knowledge of how foreign markets work etc. It would take having a partner in the local market to tell us exactly what they wanted etc., then they'd have to promote it.
Absolutely, but people buying their first house at 35 won't be selling it (on average) for another ten years. I'm sure this isn't the only reason it hasn't grown beyond the 5% mark though.
