Recommend a decent project management SaaS platform

I think commercially you’re probably looking at Asana or Monday for that kind of money If you’re a Microsoft 365 user - planner + todo is better for this than Onenote and doesn’t cost anything

    Google Workspace account suspended

Send me a PM with their domain if you can please, I'll have a look in our Google reseller console and see what it says if I try and transfer them as a customer.

How do spammers send from my email address

It's easy to configure a server to send email on behalf of another domain. Disclaimer: Yes this is a technical subject, but I'll provide the guidance anyway for your potential interest and those of other forum users. As only you control the domain, there are numerous mechanisms to help enforce...

Complicated DNS situation can't add a new TXT to Microsoft or 123reg to verify a domain in search console

Personally I would change the domain nameservers back to 123reg and rebuild my DNS configuration accordingly. I'd do it of a Friday evening (for example) to minimise disruption as per up-to-72-hours DNS propagation guidance.

Does fibre broadband go off in a blackout?

Happy to help. We are a multi-accredited Cisco partner so we specialise in resilient network infrastructure, feel free to PM me if you’d like some support on this. Depending on business requirements there are options such as the ability to failover a fixed IP address from broadband to 4G, or...

Does fibre broadband go off in a blackout?

Naturally depends on where the power cut extends to. FTTC fibre broadband is fibre to the cabinet, which then powers the circuit across copper to the premises. This means that if power to the external cabinet goes down, the service goes down too, even if your have power locally. The best way...

    Coffee Machine leasing contract

You aren’t the first company in the world to have a poor value equipment lease and you certainly won’t be the last. Worst I’ve seen was £40,000 (yes really) for a four-person telephone system over seven years. I’ve also seen another company sign up to £17,000 over five years for £4500 worth of...

Starting up as a motor trader - advice/conscience required

I'm not particularly familiar with this area, so I can't advise much on the core business proposition, but what I have heard in the past is that in some cases dealers make more money on the PCP finance than they do on the car. So while it may be difficult (or never applicable) for you to sell...

    Help! Crazy business idea!

My first thought would be, if the previous owners couldn't make the site profitable - or afford the necessary renovations - could a new occupant? 'Going bust' in such a location must be a highly stressful experience. There are many reasons that such businesses fail. Site, location, marketing...

    Music Tutorial business

This sounds like a great idea. Certainly, music and music production helped me focus on something positive when I was younger. However - we do have clients in the academic sector for music and music production, and I can tell you that it is very competitive and dominated by certain incumbents...

Website review would be appreciated please

Noticably long load time on mobile even on good WiFi. A quick blast through Pagespeed Insights confirms the problem. Google statistics on the negative implications of this are significant I’d suggest focussing on that as a priority.

    Photography Website

It’s quite busy on mobile if I’m honest. Scrolling from top to bottom was quite an endeavour on my iPhone. I know that some platforms let you exclude / hide certain content on certain platforms which may be something to consider.

How long to build up an online shop

Moving a website from Wix to an SEO-friendly platform, like Wordpress - designing an entire site in an SEO friendly way - and actually achieving decent SEO - appear to be way out of the scope of a forum thread. Unless you work in the industry it’s honestly impossible for you to see quite how far...

    Landlord charging for electric supply

That honestly doesn’t seem too excessive if the freezers are large, especially given the surges in commercial energy rates over the past year. There have been local butchers in the news recently, for example, because they can’t afford to continue. Installing some kind of energy metering so that...

Anyone using a browser that isn't chromium based and isn't Firefox or Safari?

You’ve been speaking to the wrong security guys if they’re getting thwarted by this. A Microsoft 365 Business Premium license, appropriately hardened tenant, and a phone onboarded to Microsoft Intune with Android Enterprise Fully Managed with Edge browser are literally all you would need to...
