Yes looking at sales history on eBay, there are pretty big price gaps on buy it now items. Well listed items tend to be able to fetch a good amount more than poor listings due to the reduced risk to the buyer.
It's a lens, I'm focusing on Canon equipment to begin with, as I have the means to...
Thanks for the feedback! I acquired my first item yesterday, a poorly listed gumtree item for a whole lot less than eBay price. I'm going to try and price at the higher end, around the same as the other shops and offer free next day delivery and more detailed listings.
I always find it a bit of...

My prices are based on undercutting the established user camera shops on eBay, so no where near RRP. I don't think new equipment would be remotely profitable on eBay.
Stay away from GoDaddy and similar companies, bloody awful to use.
I'm not sure how their current prices compare, but A Small Orange (asmallorange.com) are by far the best web hosting company I've ever used. Amazing service and reliability. I was told about them years ago by the owner of a...
The whole thing makes a good point. Small companies can't afford not to take measures like tax avoidance in order to compete with the multi-nationals. I'm sure it'll become more of a problem for HMRC after this when others catch on.
Just watched. Very interesting! I'm glad to see that it's actually started something worthwhile. The thing that got me was the figure of Fortune 500 companies that use havens. 72% I think it was. I bet tax wouldn't be so crippling to small businesses and could be reduced if the loopholes do get...
Thanks for the reply! Sorry I wasn't very precise, by few, I mean there are four very popular, low cost items that are always available to buy at a price I can make a 33% profit on. These would provide a foundation to make sure the flow didn't stop, while the big money tends to be on the high...
I've wanted to try eBay for a while as I always seem to end up making a profit on anything I sell there (personal use). I've tried the boot sales reselling random junk, and whilst it can be quite profitable at times, it's not fun for me and definitely not worth the hassle.
It occurred to me...
They are very good for the price, I've never had any issues apart from the image they might portray to some customers. DPD and UKmail are my personal favourites to receive deliveries from. It's invaluable to get a time slot so you're not waiting around all day! Not sure how expensive they are to...
Oh god I know Hermes don't exactly inspire confidence. Our local "self employed" driver is some guy in his 70's that can't talk very well, he just grunts.
I remember enquiring about that job a couple of years ago when money got really tight, if I remember rightly it works out less than minimum...
Thanks for the replies! You do have to pay online first, which I hadn't realised so you saved me a wasted trip. As said above, it takes me less time to pop to the petrol station than it does to wait for a courier that would probably struggle to find my property.
I've sold an unusually large item that Royal Mail will charge £13 for and Hermes will do for £6. Are the "Parcel Shops" just like the Post Office? Just turn up with the package? I've never used them before but there's one a few miles away at a petrol station so thought I'd ask before driving out...
