How and where are the rules for the inclusion of index.php defined on the Windows server?
If you change the permalinks in the WP admin panel it won't include "index.php" by default, it has to be specified.
What is the reason to keep the "index.php" in the URL. On a unix server this really is...
I was thinking: what if I want to start a company that creates websites. Usually these type of companies are male-heavy (is this the correct word?). I believe current ratio is around 1 out of 10 developers is female if you're lucky, in most countries.
I can understand some companies (who's...
I was wondering, is there a legal way to recruit for example only female hairstylists for your shop, waiters for restaurant or employees for business for the simple reason that an all female team is part of your brand/image/product?
It's a bit comparable to a Dove commercial. Most (if not all)...
I seek the opinion of all UKBF members on a good balance of employee:intern ratio.
I hope this will become a good discussion about what is a good balance and when
it becomes exploitive.
This is not an easy question to ask as there are many types of internships and many
types of interns...
This situation is about commercial companies employing more interns than employees. These companies' goals are to make money. No official volunteering or charity going on, what the interns do is work.
To give you an example situation: 20 interns and 5 employees.
In this example the...
I am surprised by the fact there are companies in the UK who hire more interns than employees.
I was wondering:
are there any limits in the number of interns a company can or may have?
are there legal requirements for the company who takes interns? for example supervision and the...
I'm looking into the Data Protection Act 1998, getting familiar with to prevent major surprises later along the road. Having data of my customers (delivery address, surveys etc) and the people that work in my company (contractors, employees, interns, volunteers etc) is crucial but then the next...
I'm with BizGurl on this as well.
If in any case I don't have my own business, I'll start one my own or volunteer at an organisation that needs volunteers.
I'm glad you are content with it now.
The only way it seems to get it done is removing a specific line in a file to stop the comments on pages (not posts) showing.
If you still need help I too am willing to offer you help, free of charge :)
I'm afraid there is no option setting to turn it off for pages.
See this thread on how to disable comments on pages by removing a line of code in the pages file of your theme:

My apologies for asking this, I'm absolutely not known with any type of press release services. What are the benefits of submitting articles to press release services?
I've tried Avira, Avast, Nod32 (Eset), Trendmicro, AVG in the past
I didn't like Avira because of their advertisement popups.
I used Trendmicro many years ago. Seemed to be heavy on the system.
When it comes to free AV's, AVG seemed good but my preference goes to Avast. Especially since...
If their prices are reasonable and you can afford to test it, by all means go ahead.
I'd like to give my thoughts on your 100k new people who may become aware of Coolfans.
In theory 100.000 new people would become aware of Coolfans, if every friend of your fan sees their 'like'. I think...
