We too have had major issues with UKmail, moved to them from APC and cancelled after 4 weeks. During those initial weeks it was a disaster. Missed collection, 5 non deliveries, 2 days pickups were all an extra day late. Absolute rubbish.
We then switched to Interlink (DPD's sister) and like...
Hi,
We too are on the FRS scheme for ecommerce. Yes, you have to include every sale as part of the turnover, even if it would be non vatable outside of the eu. Thats the one downfall of the scheme if you export a lot, as everything you sell accrues the FRS percentage, even if you don't charge...
HFE Signs, Thats inaccurate about Amex fees, they have reduced them substantially for small business and its now a fixed 1.9%. Its worth adding that in, as a lot of people have Amex cards that have generous loyalty schemes, so its a popular way to pay, and no dearer than a lot of standard...
Thanks for the link. Tried this list but its a bit of a lottery as to who turns up. It seems the vetting procedure doesnt filter out the ones who are great and those who are "amateurish", so its tricky to figure out whose who. Its also a nightmare to break down whose actually going to do the...
I reckon thats not too bad, because if they are having to scaffold 4 stories, that alone is probably about a grand at least.
Do you have details of who you are using, as you say their work is excellent?

As the forum states...

Its a four bedroom house, half rendered with a small up and over scaffold for a conservatory at the rear. Approx 90 square metres of rendered area to paint, with two gable ends, but ladder access all round. We estimate the scaffolding cost will be £250 (based on neighbours scaffolding at the...
Having gone through at least 20 numpties, I'm looking for a decent honest decorator to paint the outside of our house at a sensible price, and someone who knows what they are doing.
Its a straight forward job but geez, its difficult getting somebody decent. Wonder if theres a good one on the UK...
Just to save your sanity my friend, I would do exactly that, recommend that they host on a bog standard linux platform, then, whatever happens, you can add industry standard extras as and when to their site. In particular, for Joomla, I would strongly suggest a standard Linux install to avoid...
I would suggest you recommend to them to use a proper hosting service. Google apps isnt meant for a customer facing web site.
If they arent happy paying £5 per month for your hosting service, I would stay well clear.
I would say that PPI is great for bulk orders, but I would seriously consider its worth if you have to pay each time to send things. The hassle alone wouldn't be worth the cost savings.
If you can add a prepay balance in a block of credit, then it would be worth it, but prepaying every day...
