    Hi Install VMware converter on to the old VM running on the old ESXi and move the VM's to the new ESXi 5.5 HW. OR If both on same sub net? if so you can add both ESXi 5.x the Host to the vCenter server and do a vMotion. otherwise using the vMware converter would be the best practice...
