How do you start up with integrated systems?

Hi What sort of booking system are you looking for? I was recently looking for SAAS event type booking systems myself but didn't end up going through with the project. I think there are more than enough options out there so it really comes down to your list of requirements - both front and back...

Bookmark sharing with colleagues - sharepoint or alternatives?

Hi We used to Xmarks to share company wide bookmarks (approx 500 - 1000 urls) - in theory it was very easy it was cross browser compatible, used the brower's own bookmark manager and handled duplications, merging etc as well as backup/restoring - however they closed down earlier this month and...

Linking my orders with my supplier

This really depends on what software you and your supplier are using - presumably you'll have multiple suppliers in the future. So rather than building something specific for these guys a mid term (cheaper) solution could be some cloud intergration tool like IFTTT or Zapier where you get your...

Contact us forms and does it need opt-in boxes

Assuming you are working on the "consent" basis for processing. Hi Michelle I am definitely no expert on GDPR but I read on the ICO (sorry too new to post the link directly but its at the bottom of the post) that Honda was fined for emailing customers "aiming to clarify certain customers’ choices for receiving marketing" - so emailing to ask to be emailed...

GDPR - General Business Tools in Privacy Policy?

I started off my GDPR quest with cookies - I thought it was going to be the short easy one to do but I was so wrong! Even figuring out what category Google Analytics cookies fall into was hard work, that was before I started trying and figure out what sort of consent is required for each cookie...

GDPR - General Business Tools in Privacy Policy?

Thanks Clickdocs, the sample spreadsheet from the ICO is really helpful as is their examples of good / bad privacy notices. I've seen a fair few of the "bad" ones out there these last few days while researching GDPR, its hard to imagine all these being updated within a few weeks.

GDPR - General Business Tools in Privacy Policy?

Hi I'm trying to get ourselves GDPR compliant but there's so much scaremongering and random guesswork around the GDPR topic right now its hard to know whats what. I'm trying to rewrite our website privacy policy but I'm a bit unsure about what to include. We're a small service company with a...
