What is your experience with exhibitions?

Exhibitions can be a real gamble – sometimes you come away buzzing with leads, other times you wonder if it was worth the outlay. I agree that the difference often comes down to how engaging your stand is. A draw, a game, or just something interactive gives people a reason to stop, and once they...

Are more clients finding creative ways to avoid paying?

All great ways to help ensure you get paid, smart strategies. With invoice factoring though, just be careful. Always look into non-recourse factoring over recourse factoring if you can, as it protects you in case the customer doesn’t pay. The last thing you want is to be chased for a debt you’ve...

Are more clients finding creative ways to avoid paying?

You're lucky but some businesses have no choice but to offer credit terms just to stay competitive or keep customers on board. Sadly, that opens the door for the sneaky late payers to creep in.

    Bank account question

I have actually done this myself. When I moved abroad I kept both my UK personal and business bank accounts open. The main thing banks care about is having a reliable UK address on file rather than where you live full time. I used a family member's address with their consent as my...

Are there any lead generation companies you’d actually recommend?

Haha, if only it were that dramatic! We prefer the "firm but fair" approach, more phone calls and paperwork than battering rams. But if your customers are giving you the runaround, we’re definitely the people to speak to. Send them our way, no crowbars needed! 😄

    Debt collector letter

Absolutely agree. Creditors need to act quicker and understand the rights they do have. Too many wait too long, hoping things will resolve and by the time they act, the company’s been struck off or liquidated, leaving them with nothing. Meanwhile, in some cases, the same directors pop up under...
