I suppose it depends how good you are at it all.
Absolute ballpark I would say anyone who is proficient with CSV's, online marketing and ERP systems with 3+ years experience has to be worth absolute minimum 25k but anything upto 50k depending on how good you are at it all.
21k is what you pay...
Have you ever used the Toys R us website? Possibly the worst e-commerce experience I have ever had. It's all well having a website but it needs to convert well.
My customers are in the 40-50 age range.
Some very interesting replies here. I get the feeling the "general" wisdom is to keep paypal as I will likely lose more than 3% of overall sales not having it.
The other point which was mentioned was the chargeback system.
I might just test without...
We already have a processor for all cards except American express in place and have done since day one.
I understand your suggestion however to get enough data to test between the two and come to a statistically significant conclusion will take 500+ sales I'd think.
I know this is the sort of thing that needs to be tested and all that but I am wondering exactly what everyone's thoughts are on using Paypal.
We have been using paypal and a normal merchant card processor for years on our e-commerce website. We are now at the point where our paypal fees are 3...
I started off just pricing mid-market to my competition, the basis was I didn't really know what I was doing and thought this was the safe area where I can be fairly competitive and get fair margins. There's also an argument for following the wisdom of the crowd. I did this semi-automatically by...
Although I appreciate that in your specific instances modifying for mobile maybe overrated, since MOST other websites have mobile traffic 60%+ IMO for most it would be foolish to ignore.
As I said I ignored it for a long time myself and now I'm reaping the rewards for optimizing with mobile on...
Clinton,
How do you know you are not missing out on lots of mobile traffic? I thought the same for years, then I went mobile responsive and BOTH mobile and desktop traffic rankings jumped up. This has happened on two websites now so it’s not a coincidence. My
Mobile traffic doubled in a year...
Personally I've never done any online marketing at a complete loss as the products I sell are fairly one-off sort of items not repeat items. However if I was in that industry now I would be willing to do it if I found it was profitable long-term.
I agree what I'm suggesting would likely burn...
It's interesting reading everyone's replies here.
My answer on this would be that Adwords/Bing/Google Shopping works for any business on the basis that if someone else is competing with you/ already paying for it you can bet they are making money off it. The question is are you willing to work...
I ignored making my websites mobile for years, big mistake.
The main reason to optimise for mobile is that Google penalises your site for it not being mobile responsive.
Personally I don't like purely mobile responsive sites and just prefer the desktop versions where I can zoom in and zoom...
On top of other comments, simply based on your UKmail prices they are way too high.
You should be getting them for around £4.50/£6 inc VAT for weights under 25kg depending on your volume.
If you get prices from ukmail direct you don't get the best prices, your best with a courier broker, I can...
