That's great. The advanced segments sounds like a good idea. Thanks for that link - definitely one to bookmark:) These pesky spam bots seem to be showing up in GA a lot more frequently recently.

    Spike In Direct traffic

Just looking at Google Analytics for an e-commerce client. There was an unusually large spike in Direct traffic around the 17th February. The hits originate on a network domain called amazonaws.com A search shows that this is Amazon Cloud Service. The bounce rate is 100% so I suspect it could...

A website for a group of websites?

Thanks guys for explaining the definition of a doorway page. I've been thinking about doors too much today. That's probably why 'doorway' popped into my mind ;)

A website for a group of websites?

My client owns a group of companies, mostly relating to the door industry. Each company has it's own website. He'd also like to have a single website that explains the activities of each division within the group. Would this be classed as a 'doorway page'?

Best SSL Certificate for Oscommerce ?

Hi Dave, Do you know if the RapidSSL certificate is authenticated for use in IE6+ ? I had errors using the CACert cerificate with IE6 & IE7 as they are not trusted certificate authority, although most people are viewing in IE7. Thanks, Dave

Best SSL Certificate for Oscommerce ?

I have been using CACert on my shopping cart website for a couple of months now. Most of my visitors are using Internet Explorer but the browser doesn't recognise CACert as a trusted certificate authority. Somebody on this forum posted a message to me this morning to say that when they click...

    First time in business (ecommerce)

Hi Gareth, Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I feared that this might have been happening. I am using a security certificate supplied by CACert, which is probably not recognised by your internet browser. I get exactly the same error message in my browser whenever I login to Google's...

    Safestore alternative

I suppose if you have regular deliveries then £80 a month is fairly reasonable. My stock deliveries are like buses and usually all arrive in the same week. Thanks for reply anyway  Dave

    Safestore alternative

I am using Safestore self storage to receive and sign for small supplier deliveries on my behalf whilst I am not around. I paying approximately £80.00 per month for this service but it seems expensive as I usually collect the boxes at the weekend. Basically I am paying money for an empty room...

    First time in business (ecommerce)

Other people I have spoken to have mentioned offering a festival essentials pack. I think it is a really good idea. I like the idea of the illuminated mirror:) and the she pee has got to be better than using those dreaded blue porta-loos:eek:

    First time in business (ecommerce)

Thanks Paula, I am thinking about renting a stall - I am looking at all the different rates. There are so many great music festivals to choose from these days and that was one of the reasons for starting the Future DayDreams website. I have spent so much of my limited budget on things like...
