Thanks everyone - I forgot about the edge-to-edge printing problem and that alone is enough for me: pre printed is a requirement 'cause it'll look totally naff otherwise!
Also, I've seen some sample print now and I can confirm that even good lasers (i.e. expensive ones) do leave a 'sheen' on...
Hmm.. always useful to see real-world data: the stats. that rank search engines probably get skewed by massive businesses that would likely have more influence with Bing, et al.
Thanks - I'll drop Bing for now simply because it's not proving to be worth my time.
Under the Hampstead Agreement I don't think you can play that or does the cross-Atlantic play earlier void that? I'm not sure.
Is there an adjudicator about that could point me in the right direction (Arnos Grove being a great direction...)
Thanks Jonathan.
Does it bring traffic? Not a great deal, judging by my..err..Google Analytics - but then it wouldn't because people can't find me very well on Bing!
Catch-22: I'm not getting about 16% of my search traffic from Bing (roughly Bing's market-share of search, apparently) 'cause...
Quiet a common problem, I'm afraid - although 'teens' just pip them to the post on public nuisance and health grounds ;)
Failing eradication - the only sure-fire approach - have you tried laughing at the old goat and seeing if they take the hint?
Dave <-- tongue very firmly in cheek
Not quite sure if I'll manage much networking here 'cause my business is in pest control and I don't usually travel more than about 10 miles from Sandhurst (the one in Berkshire) - but never mind: I'm certainly in the 'London and S.E region' so I've popped in to say hello!
Happy to offer what...
Ten years ago, I'd never have dreamed of trying this but printers have got better and before I splash out on a new one, I wanted to ask: is it now practical to print the letterhead AND letter content to plain paper?
Yes, I know it's technically possible - it always has been - but is the quality...
Hello all!
I better explain the headline: I own a pest control and removal business - we're based in Sandhurst, Berks - and (wasps nests aside) people generally don't want to admit they use companies like us! :)
Anyhow, I'm new here but have already had some very useful help from an...
Thanks mugatea - glad it's not just me!
Thing is, we can't dictate what search tools our potential customers use so we are obliged to try our best getting Bing to return our businesses.
To make matters worse, I tried registering for Bing's version of Ad Words and found the process so farcical...
Hi folks,
I'm a one man operation that deals in pest control.
I can offset the costs of the equipment, chemicals, safety gear, etc. against my income each year but what about all my travel to visit customers? Am I able to claim the standard rate (£0.45 per mile) as a reasonable cost of...
Is anyone else having trouble getting Bing Maps to show their business location correctly?
I've registered with Nokia as instructed and they certainly show that my details are stored correctly. However, weeks on and there's still no reference to my company in Bing Maps - the closest they get is...
