Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

Thanku that gives me a much needed boost of encouragement. Why? Because, whilst my site currently looks pretty good if I do say so myself (last weekend I completely scrapped the website I'd spent a month on and started over from scratch 🤭😄), I keep trying to perfect it by adding more. I need...

Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

It's already registered as a company, on September the 1st. I wanted to get it out of the way but I also wanted to secure the name so that no-one else did. So now I can just get on with polishing my website and move onto marketing/generating interest/leads.

Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

I have a vison for the future whether this particular idea works out, or if I need to pivot in a different direction. So I figured I may as well get some of these things in place from the offset so I can hit the ground running and essentially be able to focus all my energies on what I'm doing...

Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

Honestly no idea. Which I agree sounds like I don't know what I'm doing but the market I'm jumping into is booming. I want to get my website polished and published, then we can zone in on that stuff with more focus. Why do you ask?

Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

Nothing like that will be happening; it's a completely online, fully digital business proposal

Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

None of these is likely to happen. I don't see myself holding meetings or anything here. Maybe if we (I) grow into something big, but I don't think any of that is going to come into consideration for quite some time, if ever. Nothing physical is planned. All digital. I've registered on...

Legally, who needs to be made aware when you start an online business?

When you're starting an online business from home, who are the right people to update? I called my mortgage provider to let them know, and after checking with their admin team, they said it should all be fine to go ahead with, but that I should tell my local council and get approval from them...

Start with a free MVP or jump right into paid product creation?

What? But my website is obviously going to be amazinggggg 🥲🤖 No MVPs yet, but we (me) have our ideas. Yes, we're a fair bit off from that perspective. Where does one pay for targeted testing?

Which banking and accounting combination would you choose

Hmm, thank you for all the replies which have given me things to consider. I got approved for my Starling account, so it's active. Mettle have just sent me an acknowledgement email saying they were working on a lot of applications and should hopefully have it sorted soon. So, it's likely I'll...

Which banking and accounting combination would you choose

It's going to be a fully digital business, offering digital products to increase productivity, workflows, etc. I'm not sure if I have any specific needs tbh, I hadn't thought about it. From the offset I'm just going to be setting up a handful of subscriptions for website hosting, domain, etc...

Which banking and accounting combination would you choose

I'm waiting on my application for Starling to be approved or denied and I'm considering what my plan B is. So plan A is: Starling business account + use it in tandem with Wise for international client payments. Plan B is: Mettle business account + use it in tandem with Wise for international...

Start with a free MVP or jump right into paid product creation?

This is a really good question/observation that perfectly ties with my more recent thoughts about all this, and forms part of the reason I was logging in today. Since, as you have observed, this original idea/proposal was quite vague (is it 50 people who get it free? 100 people? how long do...

Start with a free MVP or jump right into paid product creation?

Oh yeah, that makes sense. Like maybe the first 50 people or something. How many would be too many?

Start with a free MVP or jump right into paid product creation?

Yeah, sounds good. Thanks for the ideas. Although I'm not sure about "free for a year" haha! But we'll see what happens. I've reached out to my local enterprise agency that recently launched a new (free) business mentorship programme. Whilst I feel I have enough experience and education to...

Start with a free MVP or jump right into paid product creation?

I've done a fair bit of research on the product/s and it's a growing market, but I haven't done much in terms of financial forecasting yet. My initial goal was/is to get an MVP up and running and get it out there being used, then go from there using feedback, positives, failings, etc. So I...
