Selling on play.com / Play - No sales since opened account over a month ago.

Hey all As there seems to be no seller forum for play.com I came over here to I wonder how long it took everyone to get their first sale on Play? We sell unique products on their (Branded) that no one else is selling, so I guess if customers don't even realise they can buy such items then they...

De-registering / Canceling VAT - Anyone had any experience with this?

They make it so easy to become VAT registered, then make it overly complicated to change back if necessary after. Also, I still dont see why it cant be done online? You have to send a letter and wait 3 weeks for a response? Are we living in the 1920s here?

De-registering / Canceling VAT - Anyone had any experience with this?

What if some of the stock is from a time when we WEREN'T Vat registered? (Very slow sellers) I never claimed VAT back on it the first place, so do I still have to pay them 20% for this stock?

De-registering / Canceling VAT - Anyone had any experience with this?

Hi I have been reading this thanks (Although I wish it was written in layman's terms a little more as I'm having trouble understanding it), I am just not allowed to put outside links in my posts yet apparently.

De-registering / Canceling VAT - Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks for your advise. Apologies if any of my responses below sound thick. OK, so its like doing a shorter dated than normal tax return. I take it this does not include anything from 1st Jan 2012 to deregistration date? So also if I have say £10,000 NET worth of stock, I have to pay the 20%...

De-registering / Canceling VAT - Anyone had any experience with this?

Hi All I'm surprised when I searched the forum that there was nothing found for the terms "Cancel" or De-register" for VAT. After 3+ years of being in the "VAT Club" we are currently not turning over enough and so I am looking into deregistering for VAT. HMRC certainly dont make it easy...

Amazon returns for refund / exchange at 12.36%

.....now I find out that Amazon can change your PRODUCT NAMES without informing you (well they say its some bull algorithm based on sales, volume, feedback etc etc etc). As if it wasnt hard enough adding products using an archaic excel format. I really dont see how Amazon/Other sellers...

Amazon returns for refund / exchange at 12.36%

Amazon are never going to know what I put in with our goods that get dispatched, neither are eBay etc. Now if only there was a way to obtain Amazon customers email addresses :)

Amazon returns for refund / exchange at 12.36%

I'm actually trialing out an INK STAMP on the invoices that go out with the goods stating something like "This product was supplied by XXX not Amazon. Please visit blah-blah for our full product range" Might help. If that doesnt work I still need to get some flyers printed up to go into...

Amazon returns for refund / exchange at 12.36%

We have now been selling clothing on Amazon for about 9 months with little to some success (I'm not sure whether we'll continue to sell on this platform TBH), in that time I have noticed that a high percentage of customers return goods back to us for exchanges or refunds. From 24/04/2010 to...
