    Tell me your pain

This is interesting. Can I ask what systems you use to store till transactions and card payments? The issue being essentially there's nothing, (besides your eyes) to reconcile those, is that right? So a system that said "£28 card payment at 1300, no matching till transaction", "£28.01 till...

I have to say I am loving the way this thread is going.

    Tell me your pain

Ok, think there may be something around specifications. What tooling currently exists/do you use? Or is it so project specific that there no one size fits all? Everything I’ve worked has has specific user stories in Jira or similar ie “As a admin user I can delete a non admin user” that sort of...

    Tell me your pain

Now I'm interested. What business process keeps you on your knees a lot

    Tell me your pain

What bugs you on a day-to-day basis? What business processes cause you pain, aggravation and problems? What, in the last month say, has made you go "there must be a better way of doing this"? My reason for asking.... I've spent my working life as a web developer and latterly team lead...

Is this black, white or a grey area?

Good morning all. Interested in people's views on a proposal I've received. The suggestion is for me to take non-voting, i.e. non-controlling shares, in a Jersey registered company, where corporation tax is 0%. This company would invoice my UK Ltd company for financial services and advice...

    Shoot me down....

Have you thought about a tuk-tuk? There's a guy runs a coffee tuk-tuk on the beach near us; word on the street is that he makes a killing! Whoever converted that must have thought about hygiene facilities etc. And think you're on a hiding to nothing trying to put it on railway property. I used...

    Help please!

Can you outline your skills/interests a little more. To play devil's advocate, what would give your business the edge? Better marketing than the competition, better negotiation with suppliers, the ability to create a niche product etc? If you can work out why you're outstanding, that might help...

    Video calling on your website?

I entirely agree; hardly anyone's doing video customer service/ reception, just like they weren't doing live chat a few years back. But when both customers and companies discovered the benefits of live chat, adoption has been good. People have made that shift, and my suspicion is that they'll...

    Video calling on your website?

You could well be right. The aim is to make it as easy as possible, so it's currently one click; no more difficult than clicking to close the browser window. But really, only tests "in the wild" will prove this, so hop on board!!

    Video calling on your website?

WebRTC, yes, so strictly speaking not on the back end. With Edge and Safari looking close to adoption, I think the time is ripe. So it's graceful, unsupported browsers won't do a dickie bird.

    Video calling on your website?

Hi, I'm looking for website owners who are interested in taking part in a beta trial of one-click video calling for users of your site. The aim is to provide an additional "couldn't be simpler" contact channel for visitors who might otherwise leave unconverted, or improve customer service for...
