Anybody any exerience with Facebook ads?

I have used FB advertising and still do. I like the targeting options e.g. you can display your ads on pages of people within 50 miles of a certain town specifying a particular age range, sex or level of education. You can also target users with specific keywords on their profiles (e.g. if you...

what printing companies do you useand how cheap are they

On the subject of quality it depends what you are ordering - flyers just need to do the job. You can specify different grades of paper in your order. Much of the final look of the product will depend on your input - the content you have given the printer including the resolution of the images...

what printing companies do you useand how cheap are they

I got 5000 A6 flyers (2 sides, colour) for a little over 50£ - excellent quality and included delivery. I'm not going to mention the company (PM me if you want it) but it was just found by searching online. A previous quote from a local shop was 4 times as much - you gotta love the internet.

    Blogs and Case studies

There are countless PR distribution sites but a lot charge you to use them or don't allow links back to your site (or blog). Here are two free ones with links that I use: prlog.org pressreleasepoint.com Note that I try and keep the releases quite uncommercial with one or two links only

    New website or not

I can't imagine having a styling and attractive website makes much difference in the grit business. As long as it's functional and customers can find it on the internet then let sleeping dogs lie.

What would you pay for logo design?

There's a lot of competition in the online design marketplaces like elance (which I use) and you will get a lot of bids at around 50$ for a simple logo design. You can ask designers to quote for a full stationery set with logo, business card, letterhead etc for a bit more money. Good luck.

    Website launch TODAY

I took a peek. I love the Dog with glasses graphic on the homepage. Looks good and seemed to be very clear in its message. Well done and good luck.

    British gas being incompetent...AGAIN

It does look like BG are being a bit naughty. I live in Spain and the energy companies are much more devious and mercenary though. One tactic is to do everyone's last bill of the year based on very low estimated readings and then slap everyone with New Year bills based on actual meter readings...

    Photos of products for website

The danger of DIY product photos is that they look a bit amateurish like those pictures you see on eBay. Perhaps use the suppliers stock images and differentiate yourself by the quality and extent of product description you supply.

Hotel refusing to give me a receipt

Hostility to the hotel is unfounded. It is clearly a question for ebookers who took your money and I am 100% sure they will provide you with a suitable document, be it "receipt" or VAT invoice, to use for your VAT claim.
